WE BOUGHT A BOAT

Finally, the year-long search for a boat has concluded. Chrissy and I closed on a sailboat this morning.
We made 7 or 8 trips to see various boats, along with countless hours of internet searching on boats all over the US and Caribbean before deciding on Hoot Mon. Along the way we have learned a lot, a whole lot. And, we have so much more to learn. The learning curve looks really steep right now but we are both excited about it. We purchased Hoot Mon from a delightful couple, Dennis and Lorraine. They have put 5 years into her and now, it's our turn.
Hoot Mon is a 37' Irwin Ketch, center cockpit. She has been down in the Florida Keys for the last 5 years, spending the summers on the hard and sailing and motoring in the winters.
